THE TRUTH
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes,
(Romans 1:16, NASB95)
The Gospel is the best news any person can receive. But this good news only makes sense when we first understand our true condition before God. It is not about changing religion, but about knowing God, understanding His justice, His love, and the work He accomplished for us in Jesus Christ.
1. Not all beliefs are true
We live in a world full of religious ideas, philosophies, and beliefs. But truth is not relative. According to the Bible, there is only one way to God, and that way is Jesus Christ.
Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
(John 14:6, NASB95)
For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
(1 Timothy 2:5, NASB95)
God has not left salvation up to personal interpretation. Truth was revealed in Jesus Christ. Any other way, even if it seems good, does not lead to eternal life.

2. God created us with love and purpose
God is the Creator of the universe and humanity. He created us in His image, with dignity, purpose, and the capacity to relate to Him. We are not the product of chance. God created us to live in communion with Him.
God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
(Genesis 1:27, NASB95)
The LORD appeared to him from afar, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.
(Jeremiah 31:3, NASB95)
3. Sin entered the world through Adam
That relationship with God was broken by sin. Adam, the first man, disobeyed God, and through him, sin and death entered the world. Since then, we are all born with a sinful nature.
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;
(Romans 3:23, NASB95)
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned—
(Romans 5:12, NASB95)

4. We have all broken God’s law
Jesus did not come only to heal or teach, but also to reveal the true depth of sin. He taught that it is not enough to “not kill” or “not steal”; sin originates in the heart. We have all failed.
27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY’; 28 but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
(Matthew 5:27-28, NASB95)
“But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever says to his brother, ‘You good-for-nothing,’ shall be guilty before the supreme court; and whoever says, ‘You fool,’ shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell.
(Matthew 5:22, NASB95)
“But let your statement be, ‘Yes, yes’ or ‘No, no’; anything beyond these is of evil.
(Matthew 5:37, NASB95)
6. Jesus was announced beforehand
From the beginning, God promised to send a Savior. Throughout the Old Testament there are clear prophecies about the Messiah: His birth, life, death, and resurrection.
And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.”
(Genesis 3:15, NASB95)
“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.
(Isaiah 7:14, NASB95)
But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed.
(Isaiah 53:5, NASB95)
-“But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Too little to be among the clans of Judah, From you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, From the days of eternity.”
(Micah 5:2, NASB95)
7. Who is Jesus?
Jesus Christ was not just a teacher or prophet. He was and is the eternal Son of God, made man. He lived a perfect, sinless life, fulfilling all the law we could not fulfill.
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
(John 1:14, NASB95)
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him.
(Colossians 1:15-16, NASB95)
17 “Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.
(Matthew 5:17, NASB95)
8. The cross: where love and justice meet
God does not ignore sin: He paid for it with blood. Jesus died on the cross, not for His sins, but for ours. In that sacrifice, God showed His justice (sin was punished) and His love (Jesus took our place).
…Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
(1 Corintios 15:3, NASB95)
He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
(2 Corinthians, 5:21 NASB95)
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
(Romans 5:8, NASB95)
9. Jesus rose again
Jesus rose on the third day, conquering death. His resurrection confirms that He is who He said He was, and that His sacrifice was accepted by God.
“He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said…
(Matthew 28:6, NASB95)
He who was delivered over because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification.
(Romans 4:25, NASB95)
10. The Kingdom of Heaven
Jesus constantly spoke about the Kingdom. It is not a physical place, but the reign of God in the hearts of those who believe. It is an eternal kingdom, which has already begun spiritually and will be fully manifested when Jesus returns.
From that time Jesus began to preach and say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
(Matthew 4:17, NASB95)
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness,…
(Matthew 6:33, NASB95)
“I say to you that many will come from east and west, and recline at the table with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven;
(Matthew 8:11, NASB95)
11. Christ will return
Jesus promised He will return, this time as King and Judge. He will establish His Kingdom fully, raise the dead, and judge all humanity.
“For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and WILL THEN REPAY EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS.
(Matthew 16:27, NASB95)
11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds.
(Revelation 20:11-12, NASB95)
12. Judgment and hell: a real warning
Hell is a reality that Jesus Himself taught. It is not a symbol or metaphor. It is the eternal punishment for those who die without having been forgiven.
“These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
(Matthew 25:46, NASB95)
And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
(Revelation 20:15, NASB95)
where THEIR WORM DOES NOT DIE, AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED.
(Mark 9:48, NASB95)
But God does not want anyone to go there. That is why He sent His Son.
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
(2 Peter 3:9, NASB95)
13. What must I do?
Salvation is not obtained by works but by repentance and faith in Jesus. God calls everyone to turn to Him and believe in His Son.
and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”
(Mark 1:15, NASB95)
…“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved,…
(Acts 16:31, NASB95)
14. A new life
God not only forgives, He also transforms. Whoever believes in Jesus becomes a new creation and begins a life of communion with God.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
(2 Corinthians 5:17, NASB95)
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,
(John 1:12, NASB95)
15. How do we know all this? From the Word of God
The Bible is not a human invention. It is God’s revelation to mankind. Through it, we know the truth, sin, salvation, judgment, and the love of God.
All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
(2 Timothy 3:16, NASB95)
Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.
(Psalm 119:105, NASB95)
The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.
(Isaiah 40:8, NASB95)
